PLEASE HELP: Hamstring injury?
There are many possible injuries that you may have suffered such as a compression injury, injury to the meniscus, injury to the ligaments of the knee such as the ACL and PCL, injury to the joint capsule, injury to the muscles that are behind the knee such as the hamstring, calf muscles, popliteus, etc. I would follow up with an orthopedic doctor as your family doc would most likely refer you to one anyway. In the meantime you need to rest, elevate, compress the area and ice. Do not return to your activity until you have your knee examined. If you cannot get into see an orthopedic doctor than go to your family doctor and they can examine you. You may need physical therapy to help recover from your injury and reduce swelling, increase range of motion, increase strength and preventative things to help keep this and other injuries from occurring in the future.
