Making a man look like a woman?

I am going to a costume party and have been dared to dress up as a woman. I want to have a really good costume and try to look really glamorous and attractive to surprise everyone! So can you give me some advice about what would be good to wear, I don't mind really going all out for it if the effect is good! What sort of clothes, shoes, make-up, accessories etc. would it be best to have?
