Did you use any method to bring labor along quicker?!?

As the days go on, I am just starting to get a bit more and more uncomfortable and am looking for some safe ways to just hurry the onset of labor on. I will be 38 weeks on Friday. So I would be able to have a baby who is considered full term, so there shouldnt be any kind of risk! If you tried a method and it worked, let me know and how long it took to work!
