Why are Catholics so against moving in together before marriage?

Just curious. We were told its "detrimental to our relationship" and a lot of other bs when we moved in, and now we're happier than ever. I get the whole sins of before marriage and all that, but if you're already having , isn't it better to be in a fully committed relationship? What's so horrible about moving in together before marriage?
