Why do we know the Secret Service Code Names for the Obama family? Does this not defeat the purpose of a code.?

No..the secret service all ready talked about it. All transmissions are encrypted between agents so it doesn't matter if we know the names we can't here the conversations to know when the agents are talking about them anyway.
